Appointment of Non Executive Directors

Shanta Gold (AIM: SHG) the gold exploration and development company focused on Central and Southern Tanzania, announces the appointments of Walter David Scott and Michael Grosvenor Wuth as non executive Directors of the Company.
David Scott, age 53, brings a wealth of experience in the mining sector, having spent his whole career working in the industry. David is a qualified geologist and a member of the Geological Society of South Africa, having earned a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Masters of Science (Geology) from the Stellenbosch University. In the past five years David has worked as an independent geologist focused on exploration project management in Tanzania and Madagascar and was the technical services manager of the Bulyanhulu Mine in Tanzania.

Michael Wuth, age 55, has 36 years experience in the mining industry, having worked as both a geologist and an investment banker to the sector. Michael is a qualified geologist and a member of both the Society of Economic Geologists (USA) and the Geological Society of South Africa, having earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in geology from the University of Witwatersrand. Prior to joining Jonah Capital as Chief Executive Officer of Jonah Mining in August this year, Michael was Head Strategic Equity and Head Equity Investments (Mining and Minerals) at Standard Bank.
